    • Government ID: Aadhaar (last 4 digits only, for FCRA/PMLA compliance)
    • Travel ID: Passport number (for international donors, as required by FCRA)
    • Financial Data: Bank account details (for transfer/refund purposes only)
  3. 3. Why We Collect This Data (Purpose)
    • Processing donations and issuing 80G tax exemption certificates (Income Tax Act 1961)
    • Compliance with FCRA reporting for foreign contributions (FCRA 2010)
    • Anti-money laundering checks (PMLA 2002)
    • Communicating programme updates with your consent
    • Statutory audits and regulatory reporting
  4. 4. Legal Basis

    Most sensitive identifier collection is under Legitimate Use (Section 7, DPDP Act) as mandated by Indian law. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

  5. 5. How Long We Keep Your Data
    • PAN and donation records: 7 years from end of financial year (Income Tax Act)
    • FCRA records: 6 years from date of receipt
    • Contact data: Duration of relationship + 12 months
    • Aadhaar (masked): Per above retention periods; then securely deleted

    You have the right to: access your data; correct inaccuracies; request erasure (subject to legal retention obligations); withdraw consent; nominate a representative; and raise grievances. Exercise any right by contacting our Grievance Officer below.
