Sri Hari Bhagwan
Universally, Lord Vishnu is lovingly called Sri Hari. Here, Sri represents the Divine Mother Srimata, the one who offers refuge and nurtures creation, while Hari refers to Lord Vishnu, the one who takes away sorrows. Derived from the word Har, the name Hari signifies the Lord who removes pain and suffering from the hearts of His devotees. Together, Sri and Hari symbolize the perfect harmony of the Divine Feminine and Masculine, Shakti and Shiva, Prakriti and Purusha. Sri originates from Āshraya, meaning refuge, for only the Divine Mother with her infinite compassion can grant true shelter. She is Sri mata, Sri Mahā Rājñī, Sri matsinha-saneshvaree not a queen but an Empress in her own right. She is the very source of opulence and abundance. Lord Vishnu, known as Hari, is the compassionate preserver of the universe, the one who removes pain and restores balance. He embodies six divine attributes, the Shadgunas: Strength, Knowledge, Vigour, Splendour, Sovereignty, and Energy. Upon His chest shines the sacred mark of Śrīvatsa, symbolizing the eternal presence of Goddess Sri within Him. Together, they form Sri Hari, the perfect union of power and compassion, the Divine who protects, nurtures, and blesses every seeker.
About Ashram
In the sacred land of the Himalayas, where sages once performed deep penance and awakened the cosmic energies, lies the holy abode of Sri Badrika Ashram. In the gentle embrace of Mother Nature, the Ashram rests by the sacred Giri Ganga, whose waters sing an eternal hymn. Surrounded by lofty mountains, lush valleys, and a sky full of stars, it is a sanctuary of peace and devotion. Each dawn fills it with divine energy, each dusk with serene silence, this sacred home continues to welcome seekers into deeper spiritual bliss. Here dwells the ever-smiling, four-armed Lord Sri Hari, the compassionate preserver of the universe. His radiant presence sanctifies the Ashram with divine grace, making it no less than Vaikuntha on earth for true seekers. This serene Ashram is situated in Himachal Pradesh, about 30 kilometers from Solan and roughly 100 kilometers from Chandigarh. Even before renouncing the world, Om Swami had divinely chosen both the name of the Ashram and its sacred location. Whenever I visit the website of any spiritual organization, I get to read enchanting biographies of their founder or guru. The man or the guru is portrayed as nothing short of a superman. Well, I’m not one of them. I have no desire to glorify myself in a third-person narrative. I’m a simple sadhu in a complex world. I don’t conform to the traditional code of being a sadhu or monk though. I remain non-traditional, independent and unchained. So, don’t be taken in by my robes or set your expectations based on what I wear. I dress in them because I like it that way. Just like some devote their life to music or painting, I devoted it to meditation and tantra. My only introduction are my writings. I write books and I write on my blog sometimes. You are welcome to pick and choose what you like and leave aside what you don’t. Don’t follow me or anyone else. Like a honeybee takes the nectar from a flower and goes back to its hive, take knowledge or wisdom from any source but go back to your inner voice. Discover your own truth, walk your own path. That alone will set you free.
